While there are of course a ton of great activities to enjoy during the cooler months here in Sheboygan, there’s something really special about spending time here during the summer. For one thing, there are always plenty of family-friendly events going on around town, so don’t think that just because the holiday celebrations end in a few days that the fun stops there. In fact, there are two amazing festivals coming up in just a little over a week on Saturday, July 13, 2013.
First off, we have the Mill Street Festival, known for being the largest festival in the historic town of Plymouth. Due to the celebration, you should make note that Mill Street will be closed to vehicles on Saturday from 9a.m. to 4p.m. as friends and family get together for live music and entertainment. However, seeing as the event is a mere six minute drive from the Inn on Hillwind, our guests should have no problem getting there early and finding parking somewhere nearby. Greeted with over 100 vendors and merchants with delicious local food and drinks for you to enjoy, as well as a petting zoo and pony rides for the kids, this is seriously one event you don’t want to miss out on!
Another event to consider during your stay here would be the Town of Sheboygan Lions Fest, which is also being held on Saturday, July 13th. Being held at the Lions Club, all proceeds for this festival go towards the development of the town Firehouse Park. Come enjoy burgers, brats and beer as you listen to live performances from a few great bands, including Copper Box.
The 4th of July celebrations around town may be short lived as we all return to work on Friday, but that doesn’t mean that the rest of the summer fun has to end. Give yourself something to look forward to in the near future; book a stay with us at the Inn on Hillwind and enjoy the Sheboygan summer festivities!
