Inn on Hillwind Blog 2012
Sheboygan County Blog
After several months we have finally completed our new website. It includes many new pictures highlighting some of the changes that Jean and John have implemented at the inn. We hope that you like the new site.
The spring was busy with many new outdoor projects. A local landscaping company has completely changed the look of the property. They have expanded the gardens near the house, created a seating area down near the barn, and planted Blackeyed Susans on the hillside. They are currently working on mowing a walking path in to the field that will go around the whole property. It will have seating areas along the way. Eventually there will be a fence around the whole perimeter of the property. We hope that you will come visit us soon to see all of the changes.
To see our availability or to make a reservation click on the Availability Tab. We look forward to your next visit.
Check out our monthly blog to see what is going on at the Inn on Hillwind, a Sheboygan County Bed and Breakfast, and the Kohler/Shebogan area.
Young or Old, Take a Trip to Bookworm Gardens
One of the fun things to do in Sheboygan County is taking a trip to Bookworm Gardens. Located just 25 min east of our Wisconsin bed and breakfast, it’s a short trip well worth the time.
“Bookworm Gardens is a vibrant, playful children’s garden that enhances literature, the natural world, and the imagination. Located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the garden is adjacent to UW Sheboygan and is across from the UW Extension offices which house the Sheboygan County Master Gardeners.”

Hitting The Slopes Near Sheboygan Wisconsin
Even during these cold winter months, Sheboygan County offers plenty of activities and a weekend retreat. The Inn On Hillwind is only a short distance away from two area ski resorts where you can spend a nice weekend away from Milwaukee or Green Bay. After spending the day on the sloes, come back to the Inn and cozy up in one of the private suites with a whirlpool, fireplace, large beds, and private baths. We can provide a great retreat after a long day of skiing in Wisconsin.
Sunburst - Sunburst hosts a variety of trails including beginner, advanced, and expert levels and 3 terrain parks. Little Switzerland – Opened in 1941, Little Switzerland is one of the oldest resorts in the Midwest. Mix in millions of dollars of improvements and you have an historic resort with a first class customer experience. While a few key ingredients of the lodge remain, such as the Swiss style and one of the big fireplaces, the lodge has been gutted and completely remodeled. Highlights include a beautiful new bar and game room upstairs in the all-new Swiss Chalet. The lower level will house an all new pro shop, new ticketing area, completely redesigned rental designed to maximize efficiencies and minimize time spent inside, a new ski patrol room, and an all-new cafeteria. This is a little further of a drive, clocking in at about 1 hour southwest of Plymouth.
